Set up your household
Add everyone who lives at home, from a 7-year-old to a college kid back for the summer. Create tasks and mark each one must-do or nice-to-do.
For busy families
Lists that actually get done, so you can get back to knowing your kids. Free the Fridge takes the household to-do list off the fridge door and out of your head.
Moms told us they've tried it all. Lists on the fridge. Notes on the back of the front door. A calendar here, a team app there, three group texts going at once.
The lists still don't get done. And the family admin ends up as the household dispatcher, reminding everyone of everything.
We think she deserves a day off from being the reminder.
How it works
Add everyone who lives at home, from a 7-year-old to a college kid back for the summer. Create tasks and mark each one must-do or nice-to-do.
Each person gets their own list on their own phone. They check things off. You see it done without asking.
If a must-do task slips, the app sends a friendly reminder first. Only then does it loop in a parent. Fewer reminders from you, fewer arguments.
Coming next
Families already use great tools. We're building toward bringing them together. These are on our roadmap, not in the app yet.
Google Calendar, Cozi, Band and more.
A short recap of tomorrow for everyone.
A heads-up when it's time to head out.
Like a reminder when it's time to register for the ACT.
Privacy
Kids' data stays with your family. You decide what's shared and with whom.
Location sharing will always be opt-in. When it arrives, it's off until your family turns it on.
Rules are agreed in advance. No scoreboards, no surprises. Everyone knows the deal up front.
Who we are
We're Chad and Jay. We live this every day. Our life isn't to manage our kids. It's to know them. So we started building the app we wanted in our own kitchens.
Started at the AiEdge Buildathon in Sioux Falls. Thank you to AiEdge, Wildfire Labs, and every family who talked with us!
